3. Design Ideas


Server to Leaf Layer


This area is the core computing area of the data center. The wiring distance is within 500m. The cabinet and Leaf switch are connected using the TOR wiring architecture, which simplifies the connection between the server and the switch, facilitates operation and maintenance, provides extremely high flexibility for subsequent expansion, and minimizes the impact on the business. 


The server access network in this area uses the YXF-Q28-100G-DR1 single-wave module. One optical channel transmits 100G rate, which is compatible with old 100G equipment and increases the service life of old equipment.


The Leaf switch uses the YXF-QDD-400G-DR4 module, which has four 100G optical channels and an MPO/MTP-12 connector. It can simultaneously connect four YXF-Q28-100G-LR1s through MPO Breakout cables to achieve a 100G-400G network, or interconnect two YXF-QDD-400G-DR4 modules to achieve a 400G-400G network. At the same time, it also integrates a wealth of module status monitoring and information diagnosis functions to simplify network operation and maintenance.



Leaf layer to Spine layer


This area is the data center cross-floor or cross-building computer room connection area, the wiring distance is within 2KM, the Leaf switch and the Spine switch are connected by YXF-QDD-400G-FR4 module, the duplex LC interface greatly saves fiber resources, 400G high bandwidth meets the high concurrent traffic requirements of the data center, and the 2KM transmission distance can meet the connection between any two points in the data center.



Spine layer to Core layer


This area is the connection area between data centers, the wiring distance is within 10KM, the switches are connected by YXF-QDD-400G-LR4 module, the duplex LC interface greatly saves fiber resources, 400G high bandwidth meets the high concurrent traffic requirements of the data center, and the 10KM transmission distance can meet the connection between two data centers.
