The EDR-Q28-A001 InfiniBand MFA1A00-E001 is 100Gb/s QSFP28 to 100Gb/s QSFP28 Active Optical Cable. Using the Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus 28 (QSFP28) and contains four high-speed electrical copper pairs, each operating at data rates of up to 25Gb/s. This cable is compliant with QSFP28 MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) and IEEE 802.3bm standards.
AOCs enable higher port bandwidth, density and configurability at a low cost, and reduced power requirement in the data centers, used extensively in cloud and supercomputers. Additionally, AOCs are widely employed for connecting NVIDIA GPU-based systems to InfiniBand networks and InfiniBand storage fabrics.
